How do I add ribbon to a pre made ring pillow?
How do I add ribbon to a pre made ring pillow? And how would I add lace to the pre made flower basket? We just agreed on our wedding colors after being engaged over a year. And I had already bought the ring pillow and flower basket, and I would like to a ribbon or lace to both of them, I don’t sew very well, does anyone have any ideas on how to add ribbon or lace to them. If you do PLEASE HELP. In case your wondering our colors are Dark Purple, Blood Red, and Black. Thank you so much for your help.

With a hot glue gun.
my first thought would have to be as easy as a hot glue gun. i would think that would work wonders!

You have 2 options- for the pillow you could use fabric glue.
But Id get a hot glue gun and some glue sticks….pretty simple. You’ll find yourself using the hot glue gun for everything. hope this helps.
I think a glue gun will do it. They are cheap at craft shops. Practice on some sheets & toys before you hit the important items and you’ll be fine!
My florists fixed up my ring pillow and flower girl basket. I didn’t do lace but she put ribbon on both for me. call her up and see, if she wont do it call up local seamstress or alteration companies. it would probably just be cheaper for you to hire someone to do it then buying to ribbon and hoping it turns out like you wanted.
You can use a glue gun but you risk ruining the items (pillow but probably not the basket). Check your yellow pages and find a seamstress, or find out if a friend’s mother or grandmother sews. Adding ribbon to the pillow will just take time and lots of small stitches, unless all you have in mind is a pretty bow with the ends hanging down, and not actually ribbon sewn across the pillow face.
Definitely a glue gun for the basket project.
A hot glue gun could do the trick on the pillow if you do it yourself, or why not ask someone who is crafty to attach the ribbons for you?
I also added lace to our flower basket with a hot glue gun, and I was loaned a beautiful ring pillow from a good friend of mine and tacked on the ribbons and lace by taking just a few stitches that could easily be pulled out and didn’t show.
