girl as ring bearer for wedding?
i am getting married in april of next year and i was going to have my 2 year old son be the ring bearer but my fiance (his dad) wants him to be his best man! i think its a cute idea but i dont have any other boys to be the ring bearer. i have 4 neices under 4 so i decided i would have the two older ones be the flower girls and the 2 little ones to be the ring bearers . is that a good idea and does anyone have any suggestions on what they should carry the rings on? i dont want the traditional pillow!. help please!!

You could have a girl as a ring berrier , ive seen it happen before. But I suggest you use a boy

i think that would be cute its out of the ordinary..Maybe you can have them wearing matching alfits and same hairstles and have a little flower in thier hair that goes with the color scheme and then maybe you can find a little wagon and paint it and have them pull it down and inside will be flowers and maybe a little stand or some sort that holds the rings, or a pillow or something??

I had all my girls carrying dolly bags and you could easily put the rings in those.
But keep them in the boxes so they are easy to find. I went to a wedding once where the old joke of the bestman not being able to find the rings actually turned out to be true! The were in his pocket and he got the grooms ring ok but the brides was so tiny it got lost in his papers for his speech and he had to turn his pockets out at the front of the chapel!
your son would make a pretty poor best man, as the best man and maid of honor play the roll of witnesses, and have to be legal adults.
to answer your question: girls as ring bearers is quite cute. if you are going to have them carry the actual rings, perhaps they could each carry them in a ring box.
if you are going to have them carry fake rings (entrusting the actual rings to the best man and maid of honor) than maybe give them pomanders to cary with rings tied to the ribbons.
